The Doyennes is a tribute to women who have shaped our cultural and intellectual consciousness. The series stems from a desire to unite two female archetypes: the historically subjugated – linked to service and representation – and the modern, self-reflective woman, with wit, humor, and independence. In the encounter between these, a space of tension and recognition arises – between being property and owning one's integrity.
