Between Kazimir Malevich's infamous "Black Square" and Walt Disney's iconic round, black Mickey Mouse ears, the cultural idiom for the next century was chiseled out - long before any of us could imagine it; individual, logo and myth kneaded together into one and the same entity.

I want to highlight a little-known connection: between Malevich and Disney. Suprematism – the cradle of minimalism – the sublime, the simplified, and not least the inaccessible. Also how the commercial Walt Disney was inspired by the artistic and intellectual trends of the time.

This is the core of what I want to convey: That the artistic canons we relate to are, in reality, constructed. But creativity – it is free! And this is precisely where the genius arises.
