About the artwork;
The blending of the two- and three-dimensional is intented to achieve an ornamental fusion of space and time . The moment when time stands still. The color palette aims to replicate makeup; shimmering eye shadows, pink blushers, beige foundations and nude powders. Gustav Klimt’s The Kiss, an obvious reference, is entwined in a paisley-inspired pattern that reflects a psychedelic 1970’s design, weaved into Klimt’s exquisite Art Nouveau embroidery.
