Pop-Up: Edvarda.store in the heart of Oslo

Edvarda Braanaas

What began as an artist-run online store for selling their own art prints during the corona pandemic quickly evolved into a dedicated platform for purchasing art directly from the artist. Now a dream has become a reality: Edvarda.store will become a physical pop-up gallery , right in the middle of Oslo's most central and inspiring shopping street – Øvre Slottsgate 27.

Here, the public will have the opportunity to experience and purchase art prints from the A Dream Factory collection. The space reflects both the expression and vision behind the project.

"A Dream Factory"

Welcome to a world that takes place in our own fantasies and imaginations.
Here we become writers, directors and protagonists in our own cinematic journey.
A little piece of modern magic, written large and proclaimed loud – which ultimately asks the inevitable question: Whose dreams are we really dreaming?

A new art space under the auspices of Promenaden Oslo

The Promenade in Oslo is the country's premier fashion and lifestyle destination, known for its mix of international luxury brands, historic architecture and modern city life. Here you will find everything from Hermés, Chanel and Louis Vuitton to small, unique concepts – and now also contemporary art by EDVARDA in a living format.

The project "A Dream Factory" has been given its own gallery space in the middle of Promenaden in Oslo until September 31, 2025. Read the article "The Dream Factory" on Promenaden's website

The art print

I wanted the prints to be displayed without glass or frames, so that one could see the paper quality and feel the tactility of the material. They were mounted on boards that mimicked large sheets, with colors inspired by my own color palette. The prints are mounted with their own corners, which makes them removable and gives an airy feel.

Stories

Each image is a story with more layers than the polished and seductive surface first reveals. In an aesthetic and elegant way, visual comments and symbols are inserted that give the works a deeper meaning. The titles have their own place in the montage, set in a nostalgic font that emphasizes the retro aspect of each image. For me, the titles are important – they elevate the works and function as a kind of headline for each visual story.
